Review: Zoya "Lux"

What I Used:
  • 1 coat of Zoya Anchor Base Coat
  • 2 coats of Zoya Lux
  • 1 coat of Zoya Armor Top Coat
According to Zoya: Lux by Zoya can be best described as a rose quartz sparkle textured PixieDust with mega hex iridescent particles. Imagine the best-selling Zoya PixieDust formula amped up with larger glitter and the first ever holographic pixie particle.

Color [10/10]
The base pink color is so pale and delicate and perfect! I felt like a princess as soon as the first coat went on! The silver sparkles make it extra special and pretty.

Application [9/10]
Lux goes on a lot smoother than you'd expect from a chunky glitter. It's not as smooth as the regular Pixie Dusts, but the larger glitter pieces aren't at all finicky. They're quite easy to place and stay flat. It does require two coats, maybe even three.

Finish [10/10]
I know I gushed about how sparkly Tomoko is, but Lux's shine eclipse that! Just wow! It is the most sparkly, gorgeous polish I have ever seen and I never want to take it off! In dim light the glitter has a mostly silver look, but in bright light it is a rainbow!

Longevity [3/10]
I was worried about Lux being a temporary wear kind of deal, since large glitter tends to flake off or get caught on things (like hair!). And I was correct. I lost two full nails within three days, and the rest steadily chipped and peeled over the week, but two nails remained fully in tact.

Final Score: 8.0
